Department of Computer Science FMIPA Unila originated from the formation of a S1 Computer Science Study Program under the Mathematics Department. Several lecturers majoring in mathematics pioneered the S1 Computer Science Study Program, the results of this study program opened in 2005 through Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 1845/D/T/2005 dated June 3, 2005.
